you could easily pull off botas or a half legging. the full length were not really worn over pants

I seem to remember an old hat you made back in the late 70's, sort of a civilian version of a Dragoon type hat.  Didn't look bad and you made it your self. Saw one at the begining of the movie Jerimiah Johnson, also the series Into The West.  Saw pictures of them in old uniform prints.  And what about them Purple sweatpants?

Ned:  It's easy to loose weight and feel like a million dollars doing it.  Stop eating meat, dairy & oil/fats.  It's that simple.  Go to John McDougall's website and learn how.  He and Dean Ornish, both M.D.'s, have proven this over and over.  This is how people ate in the old days before they could afford meat every day and when meat was a rare commodity.

Problem is I don't eat meat, dairy, or fats....I'm a vegetarian except for occasional fish.

I went to the diet dr. and I have a diet that requires me to drink a gallon of water a day.  Yes, I feel water logged. But, it does work.  I also got meds from him, but lost 15 lbs in two weeks.  Also, eliminate sugar, but I still say you aren't fat.

Heather, if I weren't happily married....and near twice your age...........................................

All of this diet stuff will never work over the long haul unless you exercise.  The reason there wasn't many overweight people back 60-70 years ago.... they worked!  Everyone worked... Women, Men, and Kids.  We had meat but it was mostly ham.  About the only beef was canned or when the peddler came around.  Just my 2ยข worth.  ;D
