Started on my currant build back in October, my take on a American militia musket using a .62/20ga Ken Netting 42 inch round tapered barrel, and a Chamber's early Ketland lock. Due to more important priorities I just haven't had the time I normally spend on building so it's been a "get to it when I could" build. Now that holidays are over I hope to spend more time in the shop and get this project finished up. I finished getting it rough shaped this afternoon after getting the Christmas decorations down and packed away until next year.

Did you get with Ken? I'm still not taking orders and I have 3 more in the shop I need to build when this build is complete. I may have a couple flintlocks for sale late summer or fall. (susp)

No Fred, I. Have not gotten back to him. I think I am going to leave my 40 a flinter after all.....looking at other avenues for a southern rifle in percussion.

Nothing worth photos but I did manage to get the vent liner in this morning as well as making and soldering a lug for a sling swivel, front sight and started filing the rear sighting channel.

While I'm waiting on a small parts order to come in I started to refine the lock and wrist areas. Still need to make a side plate and the swivels but it's getting to that point where I need to go back and reevaluate it every day or so and fine tune something I missed.

Sit down and stay around awhile this time.
Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.

Got my sling swivels made and put on, trigger guard installed and the sideplate made.
