Mighty fine shootin iron there,,but it does belong here in Carolina instead of some foreign land don't you think? blah

Patocazador

Very nice indeed.  thmbsup

Do you do swamped barrels in .36 or is there not enough metal thickness in a ~13/16" or 7/8" barrel?

Thanks gunny! ya really didnt hafta, but Ill be settin ona porch a waitin on ta brown truck.  thmbsup Looks reeall nice!  (susp)

thmbsup another fine piece of work !

gunmaker

It's going to NC in fact Mike, soon's I shoot it.  Pato there'd be enough metal for .36 in 13/16" or 7/8" Southern rifle's aren't hugely swamped so the waist would be O.K. at 3/4"....Tom

What a beautiful piece! (As usual) Do I detect a bit of right cast in the picture of the butt end of the stock? If it is, then I suppose you made this one for a specific customer and it wouldn't do me any good to intercept and divert the mailing process to send it up here since it most likely wouldn't fit me. Darn! Well, back to the cannon then.
I am the one your mom warned you about!

:mini-devil-28492:That is what I've been looking for.

hotfxr,  - 3.00" drop @ heel, 13-1/2" pull with 1/4" cast-off.    aqua-fortis to darken curlys, rubbed back and Honey maple stain overlay.   so far 12 coats linseed oil rubbed until palm gets hot to force it into wood....Tom

Thats th part nobody likes about that finish. If ya aint got some callaus, ya just cant do it right. But it is a fine finish when done properly!  (susp) Heck I didnt know anybody else believed!!!

Hanshi

That's one good looking rifle.  My .36 SMR has a 3/4" x 38" barrel so a 13/16" barrel is way beyond strong.  I've got a .45 with a 13/16" barrel.  hntr
