New for 2015???

Hello to the camp!

New guy here, Metalshaper just stirring the pot a bit 

Just wondering what everybody else is planning to work on in 2015?  Any special projects or 'dream' builds, that you are finally getn round to?

For me, I've been asked elsewhere, to do a documentation build for making a Mule ear lock.
So I'm planning to get at least one lock made and photograph the work as I proceed. If there is some interest here, I'll post it???  Have a .45 poorboy build to get into, that will use the 'documented' lock or a new one ( haven't decided ?) also have a blank cut out for a halfstock build.  Somwhere in there is a pistol barrel, may have to make another underhammer pistol?

Ok, that's my start to 2015.. So what are you guys  gonna be doing???

I'm planning two .45 cal. rifles, a .54 cal. rifle and another pistol.

First up once I get everything gathered and the weather allows me some shop time will be based on a 1760-1770's style rifle with a 42 in. 15/16th GM straight octagon barrel and a "L&R Queen Ann" lock.

The second will be a 1780 - 1800 style rifle using a Chamber's "Golden Age" lock and a .45 cal. Colerain 42 in. A weight swamped barrel with Davis set triggers. 

The third a transitional style .45 cal. w/ a 40 inch 15/16th. straight octagon GM barrel with a Chamber's Early Germanic lock.

The pistol will be a brass barreled .56 cal smoothbore with a Chamber's Queen Ann pistol lock.

2 - 11 gauge American muskets in cherry
1 - 24 gauge fowler in maple
1 - 20 gauge fowler in cherry
1 - .62 cal Jaeger in cherry
1 - .54 cal Hawken perc. in maple
1 - .50 cal Hawken flint in cherry
1 - .50 cal Lehigh barn gun in maple
1 - .45 cal Lancaster barn gun in maple
1 - .36 cal barn gun in an awesome piece of maple

I have the barrels in all but the Jaeger & the 2 - 11 gauge muskets.

I am also going to Arizona the rest of January & Ireland this summer. I have to pay somebody to mow my lawn & feed my cats. :/

I volunteer to mow the cat and feed the lawn and I work cheap -     Just tell  me where ya hide the Jug and which of the firearms will be mine for doing the chores!

Slowing down in my old age .....I guess...for now anyway.

16 bore fowler
20 bore fowler
.45 midwest rifle
.54 midwest rifle
.50 early flint pistol
20 bore pistol
.45 Lancaster
.45 underhammer target rifle
AND last but not least an 8 bore rifle (.829 rifled !)
DON'T call me !  my helper moved to Oregon, and I'm in trouble, RETIRED remember...

What are you going to use for your underhammer action? I've been having good luck with the old H&A actions but am thinking of getting a Charlie Bower action for the next one. I think there are 6 of the H&A's in rifles and shotguns now and an H&A pistol on the way.

I have a Fire-n-Iron action took in trade, brand new.  Looks to be a good platform, .451 X 36" oct-rd. Bbl. 1:18 ROT for match bullets (565gr.)  bastonge' walnut stock, splinter fore arm--no rammer.   Either long distance "Creedmore"  tang/globe sights   or a vintage long scope.   Or both, his choice......Tom
