I got the stock blank from mongrel, he inlet the octagon section and the round section to the smallest diameter at the muzzle which left me to inlet the octagon to round junction and inlet the taper from there to the muzzle on the round section. I also had him do the ramrod channel to save some time. I'm doing all the other stuff myself I just inlet the internal lock parts this afternoon.

Keb

That'll be a nice gun.

O BOY!!! Another build to watch! I'm sitting on the front row with Hanshi & CampbellClan because it looks like they are bringing the wtch and the  chrrs. I told you that this gunbuilding was "addictive"!!!!

Hanshi

It looks like it's going to be another beauty. And I haven't touched either if the two 1780's flinters I am supposedly working on for over two months. I'll be watching this one for ideas.  wtch
I am the one your mom warned you about!

I was able to slip out in the shop long enough to get the ramrod pipes installed last evening. I plan on rearranging the shop the next few days but I hope to get it ready for shaping soon. BTW, it's build #8 not 7  hdslp ....guess I had one of those Senior Moments...or it could have been my fat fingers!  ROFL

I've been rearranging and cleaning up the winter build up in the shop for the last few days but I got back on my build today. Got the butt plate attached, made and dovetailed the under lugs for pinning the barrel, forged the trigger, and started making the trigger plate and parts.

Mighty nice work woody, mighty nice...Tom

Hanshi
