Like I said earlier, I had Mongrel do the basic barrel and ramrod channel inletting on this one when I bought the blank from him in order to save some time.   He inlet the octagon section and the round section to the smallest diameter at the muzzle which left me to inlet the octagon to round junction and inlet the taper from there to the muzzle on the round section. I can do it by hand but I want to get a router system set up if I build many more of these. ;D

Got the trigger assembly  inlet, tang screw installed, lock installed, and the barrel pinned. As soon as I get the trigger guard done it will be time to start shaping the stock.

That trigger assm looks great Woody! I think I'm going to start making my on as soon as I figure out what style I want to do. You are coming along fast on this build and it's looking real good. Looking forward to see more post as you progress along. wtch

Trigger guard in place ...(sorry for the poor photo, (ipad has no flash), let the shaping begin !

Well things have been keeping me to busy to work on this project for some time now but I've got everything in place and started the rough rasping to shape. At least it's finally starting to look more like a stock than a plank! :o

Well it's 99.9% finished. I will do a little more aging after the stock cures a few days longer, but it's time to take a break for awhile.  :o
