Did I Get Robbed?

Hey, Folks.

Something interesting happened today that I thought I would share.

I was over at another site earlier today and found some talk abou some shifty sellers.

Now some of you may know the site I'm refering to and others may not. Actually it makes no difference to my story. So let me tell what's happened.

As some of you that have been around this site for awhile may recall, I was having some trouble getting things together for the rondy that took place over labor day weekend in Big Bear, CA.

Well, I did finally figure out how to get myself and my rifle down there, but it took some creative thinking. Basically, since I couldn't afford any type of transportation, I was going to hitch-hike down after shipping my gun to a person who lives right there in the area the rondy was to take place. Shipping my gun went smooth. It arrived a week before the rondy. Hitch-hiking didn't go so well and I didn't get to the rondy.

Here it is, four months later. After over more than a dozen phone calls, and just as many promises that my gun would be getting shipped within the next day or two, my gun is still with this individual. He even told me to just send him a check once I do get my gun to cover his shipping costs.

Now this morning I see a post on another site with this same individual talking about honesty in dealing with others. This irritated me enough to tell the story of my gun (the only one I own - front stuffer or modern). Well, it seems that my posts on the subject have been deleted by the administrator of the site. Of course the person I'm talking about happens to be the administrator of that site.

Now I know I'm not the brightest bulb in the box, but it's starting to look like to me that I done got robbed. What do you folks think?

The same guy took me for $200. You will only get your gun back if you show up at his door with a backup. Jean Karwellis...Crow Killer...is a crook....pure and simple.

hungryjohn

Sounds like I might be hitch-hiking down there in the near future after all.

Bull

yup...police time seems to me.

Red Badger

yup sounds like...

I'll put my thinking cap on and see if I can figure out something...
"The table is small signifying one prisoner alone against his or her suppressors..."

Razor

Kinda sounds like you been had...  bs
I do hope I'm wrong tho...  dntn

why do "neer do wells" have to show up in the buckskinnin' community?Don't they understand that its about the most hostile crowd to ever deal with if they give a bum deal? Whats wrong with these leeches?. Don't they understand that we're the last bastions of  True Americans who through an unwritten code willingly help a patriot out and rat out the scabs of ...aw shoot, now I'm mad!

hungryjohn

I gotta admit that I'm mad about this too.

Also, I've learned through experience to NEVER,...EVER,...Under any cercumstances look to the police for help. Every time I've done so in the past, I was the one that got hauled off to jail.

Now to show how this person not only stole from me, but also took food right out of the mouthes of my family. You see, that gun was the only one I owned. With things being the way they are in this country right now. I either had to go hunting and lay in some meat for the winter, or eat beans. We're eating more beans in my home than anyone should ever have to. And if I can't afford to buy meat, I sure can't afford the $400 and up to replace the gun I've lost.

I do hope this person isn't typical of "Buckskinners". Because this whole situation has left my with a very bad tast in my mouth.    :blech:

I know you've been wronged by an individual but please don't generalize against the police or any other group.
