John, I would like to pitch in also, will be sending100 .490 ball   your way in the am, the only place that I know in your area that has powder is The White Elephant, would love to send ya some powder too, but with the laws being what they are, don't think I can do that, but I will send ya a powder horn to carry it in, ok if it's a lefty?

I do appreciate the RB, Leathermonger. And you are right. About the only place around here still selling powder is White Elephant. Last I heard it was running abou $20 a pound. But that was last summer before some jerks stole explosives from a construction site and last week's scare here with some nut making explosives in his apartment. No telling what the stuff costs now.

And a decent horn might be a good idea. mine came to me second-hand and was treated very poorly. Cracks, possible leaks, etc. But a left-handed horn? Does this mean I'll have to learn how to load and shoot backward?

I got a feeling that once I'm back on my feet again, I'll be doing a lot of favors for a lot of people. Or sending out a lot of handcrafted leather.

Now if I could just get the cat to give me back my moccassons. She thinks they make a dandy pillow to sleep on. Atleast it ain't the dog using them for a chew toy.

Ok Johns original rifle is scheduled to go out today(Monday the 11th ) as soon as I get the tracking number i will post it here so we can all track it to make sure it arrives safely...

Don't matter much to me. I've tried both and either one seems to work out just fine.

Right hand carry horn on the way tomorrow along with a nice vent pick made by Wally Peters. The horn was given to me to pass on to a new user, so the guys initials are carved into it but it works well.

Has anybody tried the tracking number given yesterday?  I've tried it several times and get the response: not found.

Any body else get something different?
