A week ago I had to go to Wichita for may quarterly check up, got a good report.
AS I do not like that town and don't go there unless I have to I decided to
get some things I can't get here. Went by 4 different gun shops that handle
reloading supplies, looking buck shot for my new buck and ball gun.
Guess what? None of the  them handle any thing bigger than # 5 and one only carries #7 1/2 and # 8. I ask if they could order some and got the song dance that they order X number of pounds at a time and as it didn't move very good, this I can understand. One Ahole just said no, that I did not need to be shooting buck shot any damn way
Ok to the next thing on the list. Went to the Bullet Stop to see if I could get
a couple of boxed of 320 round ball for my 31 cal revolver. Jack looked at me and said I wish I could get it as he just got a new 31 himself, but they keep back ordering it.
OK next went to the leather factory, I have put on a little weight and need a bigger belt, and wanted some leather for knife sheathes and some other odds and end, reached one shelf to high and got the wrong weight, did not know this until I got home. It is a way to heavy for knife sheathes.
I thought other than the Dr's report that it was just a wasted trip, but then I got to looking and decided I will make a holster for the long barreled Colt and one thing let to another, Ended up using most of the leather for holsters they are not fancy, but they will protect the revolvers
Tell me what you think
All gave some Some gave all

not bad , you should add a bit of color to em , bit of leather dye will do it ! I just picked up a chunk of leather from crazy crow to make a holster for my walker ,I`ll post a pic or two when it`s done !

Ironwood

Wow!  You have been busy!  I like your design.  Give them a good coating of Mazola corn oil or olive oil and put them out in the bright sunlight for a couple of days.   Enough coats of oil and enough sun and this is what you come up with.

Bulldog lady

D--n you guys are good.  Harry congrats on checkup that is main thing, oil and sun - thought that what the  young girls did to get bronze and beautiful , old farm girls got that way from workin  strpot  any way it does a beautiful job on leather,  learn somethin everytime I log on  :applause: know there is a reason I like this site,

Beowulf,  Trying not to get to far off topic, however I do have a pattern for a Walker Holster.  I'd be glad to send it to you if you promise to send it back.  I can make you a tracing if you like.

beowulf

thanks for the offer ,but I`m gonna work up something of my own ! if`n I have the chance I`ll do it this week end ! last time I made a holster for a walker was 25 years back ,and that was worn on a belt , this`n will be a cross draw type hung on a shoulder strap ! might be a week or two ,but when it`s done I`ll post a pic !
