After another unavoidable delay, the horn & strap are finished. It could still be added to, should mainiac so desire, but it is flying north today...
Nice thing about a white horn (or slightly antiqued like this one) is it is easy to add to, whereas the colored horns are difficult or impossible to add to, depending how the coloring was achieved...

This is the Inkle loom the strap was done on. At this point it is about 2/3's strung in preperation for weaving. The empty holes are for length adjustment, by changing the position of the dowels you make the finished strap longer or shorter. This style of weaving goes back to the Middle Ages, if not further...



The finished product, with the exception of the brain tan tabs to suspend the horn from the strap, which need to be fitted to each individuals preference, as far as how high or low they prefer to carry the horn & will give mainiac something to do... ::)

They are simply sewn on at the height desired, or, alternatively I have seen folks just pass a thong thru the strap twice & tie the horn directly to the strap...
