A Question about Patches

I cut my patches from 100% cotton pillow ticking.  The kind with blue threads and white threads, not the printed on stripped pillow ticking.  It seems I read someplace that the same side, blue or white, should be used every time.  I don't see where there would be any difference if you loaded a ball with the blue side against the ball one time and the next time the white side against the ball.

What do y'all think?  Would it make a difference in accuracy?  What would be the difference if you put the blue or white side against the ball every time, rather than just putting what ever side you happen to grab against the ball?

It makes ZERO difference ! I always load mine printed side out. Why ? Cause I'm old and set in my ways and so far its still a free country....

Ranger

I dodn't see where it would make a differance either.

little jim

But the strips gotta be the pointin in the same direction !! 8)

Ranger

Actually, come to think on it, I heard from a well known story teller, them stripes need to be facin north while yer loadin... ;D

little jim

That's right "STORRY TELLER". Everybody in the Northern Hemisphere knows they got ta be pointin East ! Sheesh.... ::)

Ranger

I hope Ironwood didn't want to serious of a discussion.  :P

It's not what tool you use to hunt with.
It's that you use the tool Legally and Ethically

Ranger,  I am getting exactly the reaction I wanted..:)  Actually the person that said the same side should be against the ball every time was serious.  Sure glad I can't remember his name.  ;D
