Chaffa Hosa

This is my new powder horn for black powder. It was made by an avid BP hunter/ friend in South Africa

The horn is from a very large Blesbuck Ram. Very difficult to hunt, skittish animals that you find on the plains. Very good eye sight, and they run for no reason at all.

Both the plugs are from a piece of wild olive that came out the Kalahari Desert. A very hard and dense wood, even though it has a lighter colour. Can be polished to a very fine sheen.

The olive wood has darkened some The first pic was made a year and a half ago the one on the bag a month or so ago
That wood is harder than our Osage I beleive
