Rebarrel question????

Ok, have old barrel 13/16 in. wanta put new barrel using old tang, pattend breech kinda thing I guess.
my idea is:yank old barrel off tang, get new barrel. Thread new barrel to old tang, screw it in so's it lines up. put in wedge staple and sights. take it out and shhot it? will that work?

my question is, why do you want to go through that much effort? why not get a new tang/breech plug and go with the flat breech?

Yes if you can get a barrel with same TPI. then fit plug to seal breech proper and place pinning lugs in same location as old one . Keep in mind some import guns have metric threads and TC were made with varying breech threads depending on year of manufacture .

Ok, Yes, I know what yersayin but there is a method to my madness. I want to be able to switch out barrels on the same stock/lock set up.
