im gonna be a grandpa!

well ive held on to this secret as long as i can, my daughter Rhiannon is 8+ months pregnant and due to deliver in the next 3-4 weeks. we know its gonna be a boy, she wants ot name him Edward Howell Karwelis. yeah i know she's young, (she turns 16 this month) but what are you gonna do? shes my daughter and i love her no matter what! besides a grandson to hunt and shoot with? this is a bad thing why? knew this would happen some day, i was just hoping not so soon. oh well, i'll still be young enough to really get out and have fun with him!

Being a younger grandparent has its advantages ......... It's a whole lot easier to keep up with the little buggers.        And if he takes after you, you're gonna need all the energy you can get!            :D

I'm the product of a teen pregnancy, and though I'm sure it wasn't a piece of cake for my parents, but my dad and I were so close in age that we became the best of friends. I'm sure that'll be the case with you.

First let me congratulate you on being a new Grandpaw Ain't nothing like holding that first grandchild the first time.
It will take a lot of support for your daughter but don't hold anything against her.
I was married at 17 to a 15 year old girl who had our first son 19 days before her 16th birthday
and had 2 sons by her 18th birthday. So I sort of know what is going on with teen parents.
Love and support your daughter and new grandson that will probably turn out to be your new best friend for the next several years.
Again congratulations to Grandpaw and Mother, and I pray for a safe and healthy mother and baby.

congrats!!!   gwyn and i got married 3 months after hi school.. and she was 3 months along when she walked down the isle.. that was almost 21 years ago. and it was tough . but we raised her right i think.. she is out on her own now.. and gets married later this spring.
