The nearest pawn shop to me is about 30 miles away.  I was wondering if people are seeing more bp stuff as the economy has gotten worse?  Wondering if I should take the time and gas to drive there (it is a small pawn shop in a university town) just to take a look.

The blackpowder stuff disappeared 4 years ago in Mississippi when we legalized singleshot centerfire rifles for primitive weapon season

I guess I'll just never get my mind around the reasoning in that one. :-&

Here they still have to load from the front -- even if you are setting it all off with a shotgun primer.

Been seeing a little more at the gun shows and a few at pawn shops. Prices seem high though.

Not seeing much BP stuff in my area but, I did pickup a nice customised 1911 Auto Ordnance chambered in .38 super.

I know its off topic but,   that would be a handgun I would really drool over!

...on topic, my friend goes to a lot of gun shows.....not many bp guns period!  what he does see is either black guns or new tc's at prices way too high.

...still drooling!

I sure do want me a 1911!!

I'll just stick with my S&W revolvers -- old fashioned like me.  M10, M17, and M29.
