Through all the years of black powder firearm custom building, has there ever been a well-known, or other-wise, female builder?

Not that I am aware of but I do know that they helped in building them from boring and rifling barrels , helping forge the parts and shaping the stocks .Wouldnt surprise me at all if they were right in there with the men folk helping build them to feed the family .

Check out Susie Biccio's guns, very nice. She's the proprietor of Muzzleloaders Builder Supply. She usually has several in her booth at Friendship. Excellent work. When you are there ask her about them.
