Can Anyone Name this one?

I took this photo while we were camping at the Cedar Breaks Campground near Georgetown, Texas.  I had never seen one like it before, or since for that matter.  I can't find it in my flower books.  I was wondering if anyone here could give a name to it.  Now before you say it Mr. Woodchuck, I'm looking for the real name.

Not sure Ironwood ... could it jus be a weed ?
Wooda be easier to make uppa name ... like ...

I have seen somethin close to that ... with a slightly darker petal Ironwood ...
kinda thought it came from Greece...
the center had a deeper purple hue and they grew clustered...
