Thanks DB.
I took a heavy duty bottle and just wrapped it in leather.
I found an article in M/L mag by T.C. Albert.
I wrapped the bottle in masking tape, cut the tape down the sides of the bottle and peeled the tape off as a pattern, layed it on a piece of leather and cut it out.
Then just sewed up the leather on the sides of the bottle.

Sounds so simple...but I know it's not. Thanks Tom.

Wow! I couldn't quit drooling long enough ta tell everyone how nice their rifles were in seperate posts, and I would ruin my computer slobberin' all over it, so I'll just say Ya'll have some awesome rifles... thmbsup

Ya'll seen mine once er twice, but here he is again. My Buck Whacker, or Ol' Buck is my favorite so far even though I ain't shot it yet. I just love the feel of it in my hands. He's a .45 with a Large 44" barrel and an original (I believe from research) M.M. Maslin flintlock. Just a sweet rifle. I have a Mongrel built .36 coming with a Montana 42" barrel, made is the John Armstrong style, so we'll see which is my favorite then... dntn

Gorgeous rifle!  Being a .45 you can use it on deer or load it down for little critters.   Mine's a .45.
Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.

sluefox

squirrel,
That is a real nice looking flinter!
Keep us posted on how it shoots.
