If the concave bottom is made of lead it might work but,  anything harder probably would not expand properly.

I have a 5 foot long steel rod that is about 3-3.5" diameter. I want to use about 1.5 to 2 feet of it for hammer and part of the anvil for a junkyard power hammer I want to build. The rest of it, I would like to get drilled/bored to about 1.7" ID to make a golf ball cannon.

Ohh I'd love to have one.Probably get in trouble with it on the 4th though.Bad enough gettin the bottlerockets out later in the night.On second thought could you imagine a bunch of unsuspecting intoxicated people sittin around and then BOOOOM.Oh now I really want one.

We had a big camping party last year before I moved away and the first night everyone was sitting around the fire and my tent was about 75yds up an incline on a hill and beside it was my 2 1/2 inch mountain howitzer and flagpole with the confederate flag. After about 2 hours it was dark and everybody was pretty intoxicated so i loaded her up with a big charge and toilet paper and fired it off. They didnt know what happened there were people running for cover and falling out of their chairs yelling and carrying on. Not to mention the huge cloud of smoke.

It was a good night haha

Hope you didn't get many threat's for it!! Few years back, a couple feller's decided they would do that a couple times!! There were threats towards them. Of course this was in camp only a few yards away. The Booshway told them to knock it off and don't do it in camp again. I thought it was great, but i was only a handful who did!!
