Pitchy

Thanks Tom , I think i`ll be able to get it shootin pretty straight after it warms up. I made the front sight extra long for tuning.

FrankG

Lenn , get a good 5/8" bit for a 62 interchangeable barrel   thmbsup

Pitchy

I have a 5/8 th ream, tell me more, what can i shoot in that caliber.

FrankG

.600 round ball or 20 guage wads for scattergun thmbsup

Pitchy

Don`t seem worth the slight gain in diamiter, one inch or bigger sounds like more fun.  thmbsup

FrankG

The 600 rb is around 320 grs of lead compared to 180 or so of 50 cal  thmbsup

Pitchy

I`m confused, nothin new, what cal. is a .600? where do ya get those RB`s

FrankG

The nominal cal is .62 I cast mine and TOW has them or Lee makes a mould.

Pitchy

Hmmm i`m getting more interested, I could just run my ream down one of these 50`s. So your telling me ya can patch a .600 ball and load it in a 5/8ths bore.

FrankG

5/8" is .625 so .600 rb and .010 -.012 greased should do it .

I think I'd take it to 9/16" first .

Pitchy

Will have to see, i`m done building for a while, I think.
Thanks for the info.

Roaring Bull
