Well when i decided i wanted to buy it back i asked Windwalker if he wanted to get rid of that worthless old fence stretcher some fella(myself) had pawned off on him a few years back. As the dickering continued it was also known as the tomato stake and finally that 'Ol Fence Post. The lastone kinda stuck, hence the name 'Ol Fence Post. But for an old fence post she shur do shute gude. :)

I've started playing around with BP smoothbores a little the past couple years, although they are .62cal GM Flint smoothbore barrels dropped into TC Hawken stocks...have enjoyed learning a lot about BP smoothbore load characteristics, taken some turkeys, squirrels, doves, crows, hope to get a chance at a goose this fall.

Signature shows my first Tom...and here's a pic of my first squirrel

I've got a couple of bp breechloaders but this is the only muzzleloading shotgun I have. It's an original Ancion made in Belgium around the 1840's-1850's. It's had some repairs done to it over the years, some of them not very well done but it's a shooter.

Thanks. It's got fancy carving on the wrist and the trigger guard, rib, tang and locks are engraved. One of the ramrod thimbles is missing and the threaded tip for the ramrod has been broken off. The stock has a crack that was pinned with a blind pin and the crack didn't go together. Looks bad but I don't see any way to get the pin out without making it worse. You can see the crack in this pic. It runs up to the the back of the lock getting wider as it goes.

You can't see the pin but it's right at the edge of the pic. If the pin was out the crack would go together except for the very tip that's gone. I'm scared to drive it on through.
