I want all of you to know I appreciate all the confidence you have shown in me, but the time has come for me to pass the torch of leading this group to another.  I am not sure who the Booshways and other factors will choose but they will let you know.

The reason for this decision is that my Neurosurgeon has admitted he made a mistake, my neck damage is worse than previously thought.  The team say's that I will probably be paralyzed within 6 months to a year... nothing can be done at this point to prevent it...

I regret not being able to travel and not meet each of you individually as Di and I had planned.. You are all great people to know...

Man, that news stinks. I know you think so.

All is not lost. Go or call the U of Okla. med school and explain your situation. Don't accept just one diagnosis.
Back and neuro-surgeons have the worst record of success but that doesn't mean that there are no excellent ones. Travel, if necessary, to the most highly recommended one and see what he/she says.

This forum should be the least of your worries. I hope things turn around for you.

Man, I thought I had bad news this week when the ortho told me that last October's repair for the femur fracture worked loose and I'll need a hip replacement. I, and I'm sure the rest of us, are hoping the doctor is wrong and things will work out for you. Just remember that we're all praying for you.

Damn, I better figure out a way to visit soon while you can still tip a jug.  Be praying and hoping for the best... Keep fighting!!

If there is one thing the last year and a half have taught us, it is that the medical "experts" do a lot of opinionating without any real knowledge of what they are talking about.  Keep praying and believing for the best.

This is the worst news since we lost Dryball.  One thing is true and that is we are all still here!
Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.
