I didn't have much winter to speak of, lasted all of 3 weeks. It was rough, but I made it through.  ;D

It's concerning, but the winters are getting shorter and warmer up here.  Only 41" of snow this season.  To put this into perspective, four years ago we had over 90".  It seems to get less and less each year with last season giving us 60+".

I was going to get serious and say I'm still frozen solid in a block of ice farther north.  But I'm not so sure that can happen nowadays.  A few spats of chillier days will happen but yesterday, the day before that, the day before that and on & on have been sunny and warm and very pleasant just like today.  Snow now comes later and leaves sooner just since we've been up here.  But basically, yes, we survived.  (susp)

Lowest temp. of the winter was 30o. 94o high today. 3.2" of rain over last weekend and more on the way.

Rain? What is this "rain"? We won't see 3.2" of total rain from now until some time in September. It's good to live in the desert.  ;D

winter was its usual weird self here in pa ! for a while we were getting snow about once a week , give it just enough time to melt ,and then hit us again !  where I am ,we got nothing over 8 inches! since then it`s been rain ,rain, and more rain !  and a mix of very chilly and very warm days !  usual pa weather , figure this next winter will be blizzard time , seems to be every few years ! one year we got 26 inches of snow  and four days later another 20 0n top of it ! ! walked about a mile to work , so it got interesting !  lol

Winter down here in Texas was fairly typical ....... except for a one week cold snap.  It stayed below freezing for over a week, and at our place the temperature dipped to -6 degrees F (actual temperature).  It was hard to get an accurate snow depth measurement because of the high winds, but it appears that  we had around 10 inches of snow during that time.  Folks down here are generally not prepared for such cold (especially the power companies).  I was fortunate to not lose power, so it was a mere inconvenience for a while.  Others who were without power for days had a much rougher time.

They canceled winter out here, just kept summer going. Next to no rain, outside of a couple weeks of cold most temps in the high 70's. So naturally they raised the price of gas to over $4 per gallon to help us all out.  hdslp
I am the one your mom warned you about!

Typical.  How much help do you think it will be?  [hmm]
