Ideas for a persona please

I have not gotten into the rendezvous thing much, went to a couple several years ago. Now I recently rejoined the NMLRA and now that I'm retired I might get back into  the vous. Only problem is I own only own percussion guns. Flint shooters seem to have more options regarding personas where as cap shooters are a little limited. I live in Northern New England so I was thinking about a New England farmer or hunter from the 1820's to 40's. No, I don't want to buy a flinter I already have more guns than my marriage can bear but I would be grateful for other persona suggestions that fit into the pre 1840 rendezvous parameters.

Your guns would work for the era you describe.  Others know more accurately than I do but I'd think a fur trapper/mountain man would also work.

For your location I would go as a contract hunter, there were still a few in the middle 1800's the percussion limits you to about 1830 or later... you can always go as a mountain man who decided to return home to see if the folks were still on this side of the grass, kinda like Jimmy Stewart in the miniseries... :)
