I keep working with this new revolver trying to shoot a decent target but so far I haven't gotten anything worth sending in.
Offhand rifle is already done and sent to Blackfeet.
The .40 caliber rifle that I usually shoot offhand doesn't seam to like being shot from the bench so I may need to try a different rifle.

Good luck everyone, lets get out there and make some holes in the targets.

Thinking the same thing. I was hoping the little left handed 36 would work but it looks like I will have to bring Thumper out of retirement. At least it is easier to see the 54 cal holes.

I can probably get out again next week and shoot some more.  I do have three targets shot, or at least shot at, but I want to do better.  This is a great idea - it gives me some motivation to get out and burn some powder. No matter what happens I'll send in targets just to help keep these shoots going.

We appreciate your participation. Hopefully the fires and such will not keep everyone out of action all summer.

Unfortunately my range is closed until further notice so I will wait and see if it reopens before the end of July but if it doesn't I will send in the pistol and bench targets that I shot but am not at all proud of.

I got three scanned and emailed.  Really dry in Oregon but my range is still open even with many fires around.

If the fire danger drops enough that they reopen the range I'm going to "unretire" the old Sharon 54 and use the revolver that I normally shoot for score, but things aren't looking good about the range reopening, all monthly events have been cancelled until the sherrif's department says otherwise. :'(

Apparently my entire state is on fire again so there will be no black powder shooting for me in the near future.

Man, I gotta get out of here.
I am the one your mom warned you about!

I suggest Wyoming, Montana or New Mexico.  Colorado and Oregon are getting large metro areas full of yuppie voters who elect more yuppies to government posts.

And Washington (on the West side) is just as bad.  :-&

Wish I could send you some of this water!  We have had 3inches since yesterday.  Glad I live on a knoll so I don't have to worry about all the flash floods.  It has rained everyday since last Monday a week ago at least a shower.  The  creeks are running full or out of their banks. June was dry as dust but July was wet as could be and August has started pretty damp.  Hope they get those fires under control and ya'll  get some rain!

I live on a knoll as well. The difference is that my driveway decided to migrate to the lower end of said knoll.

Just glad to have a tractor to drag it back up several times a season
