Does anyone know the thread size of the screws that mount the thimbles to the square rod mounted to the barrel of a cva Hawken? They seem to be the same as an 8-36 American thread even though the barrel is from ( Ardessa?) Italy. I just hate to pay $10 for one "secret" screw when  a box of 50 cost the same if you know the thread size.

Lucky Buckeye,.. sometimes you can luck out, [hmm] I bought 2 new larger head lock screws and was sure I would have to tap the lock plate on my Traditions Pennsylvania rifle, But the 10/32 Lock bolt threaded in fine,..I did have to trim for length but that was it, So either the owner before me had tapped and replaced the bolts before or there is a slightly worn metric size that is a darn near perfect for a 10 32 American thread size???  [hmm]
