The weatherman says this is the last nice day for a week in eastern Oregon so I went and shot my TC Hawken 5 times for a postal shoot.  Then I put 6 rounds through my 1858 Pietta to check my sight modification.  It was shooting extremely high with the short factory front sight so I added a little solder to it.  It's good enough now that I'm going to leave it alone.

Keep it up Brother.  I'm 2 days from last chemo. and had 27hrs up by end of trip this morning...got to love the old shifting lineups.  Now show for midnight to head back. Feeling good and if that continues may try to get out myself...but the snow can hinder me a little...I get cold to easily now. Seems my temp. regulators are all fouled up too. Maybe I just need to breath some black powder smoke.

Ahh, may the good days keep coming. I expect to have a few this year.
I am the one your mom warned you about!

I got out today, worked on a musket load with no success, shot a 5 shot target with my .40 and came home.
Not a bad day except for the dry load that took forever to get out because my 3f powder didn't want to trickle in under the load.
I had a flint charger along but had 3f in it too.
4f works better.

I should add that it was a nice day, but only in comparison with the single digit temperatures we recently had. Denver was a balmy 36 degrees and up there it was about 25 and dropping while I was there, but still a good day because I was dressed for it and got some shooting in!
