Give him time.  This hobby is too addicting to leave it in your past.  I'm hopeful he will pop in eventually.

transcript begins....

Factor Red Badger:  Ummm OK Motion has been made and seconded that we make Mongral a life member....
(voice from the floor) Point of order Mr. Factor...

Factor Red Badger: Voice from the floor what is your point of Order?
(voice from the floor) A matter of Procedural content Sr...

Factor Red Badger: Voice from the floor you have the floor to justify your point of order.
(voice from the floor) Being that we do not have any membership dues, and that we do not have a life membership position in the files only a category for deceased members who  we are aware of.  We cannot vote on this motion because it is not valid.  Also in that we do have a requirement for membership in our rules to check in every 180 days to keep the Booshways busy and give them something to do ( checking membership and letting the factors know who is overdue and sending them an email from the sites email address) so this motion is invalid.  I yield the floor...

Factor Red Badger: (discussion with the parliamentarian)......

Factor Red Badger: This Point of Order is valid and there can be no motion.... Next order of Business

end of transcript......

He don't need no stinkin' membership; he's special.

Put him up by Dry Ball,  He has influenced a lot of us and I for one and proud to be called his friend.  He has few people he would call that years ago and most of them were right here.

Please don't shoot the messenger... I was just stating things as I see them - He is still on the site and still is the only one listed as our master gunsmith.... I will not put him up with dryball until I receive word or his passing... Dryball, FieldEMS, MtN Mike, and a few others  are the ones who have that distinction that I know of.  The have all passed onward and that's what it takes to get that treatment.  Mike Lang will be a member and the Master Gunsmith as long as this site stays up, or I get an obituary... Then he will join that high company.

The worst part of this is not knowing that Mike is ok.   I am sure there are those of us that know what it is like to break off with  someone they loved.    The heartbreak  of everyday life without that person.  All the plans that both made together and the fact that Mike said they were so much alike.  The sad part is Mike sold his house to invest in property to build on and lost everything?.   I/ we felt that Mike finally hooked up with someone that together both would  find life long happiness together. imho  Something that Mike needed more than most anything else,  imho.   To be able to trust the human race, again.
I did try do an online search but to no avail.  Need to hear/know  that Mike is alive and well.

We/I miss your posts and knowledge.   And being able to call and talk with you, on varied subjects.    My/ OUR  thoughts are with you.

I think you have stated it nicely... I would amend the last sentence to say "OUR" instead of my....

I like to think that Mike and I had as good a friendship as can be had visitin online and by phone, He was as close to me as Dryball in that fashion, and I for one will not let it go.  If anyone gets up to friendship ask around and see if you can find any hint of our lost friend, If we can get the message to him that we are with him it might help.
