Mountain man lingo.

I've had some people tell me that my posts written in mountain man lingo. are totally unintelligible, others say no problem. I need to know just how many of you understand and how many don't. Thanks,

Mountainman lingo or what ever that is, is a Hollywood stereotype. Many of the old Mountainmen were highly educated and spoke perfect English, Spanish, German, Scotish, and native American lanuages etc!

It's not all Hollywood .You had so many diverse nationalitys and acents that the pioneers/mountain men did have their own lingo,so to speak.Even educated people tend to pick up the speech from the culture around them.(Unless you are from New York) .

It doesn't bother me any.  It is like trying to read a Learning Disabled student's writing.  You just read it like it's spelled.
