My wife has camped with her family before and as we were sitting around the fire one evening I was telling her about the Big Foot both my brother and I'd seen before. She figured I was telling her a tall tale, but I ignored her look and kept on. I was in a wilderness area a few years back hiking down this mountain and came upon a young Big Foot laying at the edge of a meadow. He was hurt and bleeding and alone. I knelt beside him and he didn't move, his eyes showed lots of pain. There was a gash on his leg that had bled quite a bit and was still bleeding. I removed my pack, and got out my first aid kit and cleaned off his wound, then bandaged if after putting some ointment on the cut. When I'd finished I raised his head and gave him some water from my canteen. He acted like he was glad for the water.I  decided I'd better stay with him, so made my camp, slept out in the open close to him. Next morning I was trying to feed him some cheese and crackers when I saw a grown female standing off a ways watching me. I gave the youngster more water and laid him back down. He acted like he was feeling better. I stayed a second day and shared what I had with him. His mother never left but stayed watching him. The next morning he tried to stand up, so I helped him stand up. His mother wasn't sure about me, and finally came over to help him and protect him. She then left with him disappearing into the forest. I went back and got more supplies and returned and set up my camp in the same place. A few days later the two came back and walked up to my camp. The bandage was dirty and half off his leg, so I cleaned him up, then applied more ointment and a new bandage. They stayed a while, then left.
My wife was giving me a look like you lying turd. She wanted to go see my supposed place so we hiked back up to where that was and set up camp again. I was getting these looks from her that were not good. The second afternoon we were sitting at camp when my wife points and says, look, a bear. It wasn't a bear, I told her to sit still and not move. Two visitors came slowly over to us, and it was the same two I'd encountered before. The younger one almost the size of his mother, and walking well.I stood and they came right up to me.  I held out my hand and they took it and held it. I offered them cheese and crackers, and both ate some. We all sat on a log and I tried to communicate, but failed. They stayed an hour or so, then walked back into the forest. My wife sat with her mouth hanging down unbelieving what she'd just seen. She couldn't wait to go home and tell her kids what she'd seen, but I made her promise not to say a word about it to anyone. Well, she couldn't stay quiet and told her sons about it, they wanted to go see what we'd seen, but I refused.
Thank heavens she had no idea where we'd been. Since then I've visited several times and have seen my new friends several of those times.

I like stores like these, A warm and fuzzy feeling came over me while I read it.....

Either that or it is just exhaustion from the schedule I am keeping this semester... :)  cuch
