I have a question about period arrows.  I saw a arrow that was period and it only had two feathers on it so is that realy period or is three period ??? ???

I think that for true period arrows that it depends on what tribe or sub tribe it is and where they are located.

Roaring Bull

Probably Caddoan of the Western Louisiana/Eastern Texas.

Stumblin Wolf

theres some examples of two feather arrows in the "encyclopedia of native american bows, arrows, and quivers. The copy I have deals with the northeastern, new england area early 1700's to about 1840. They are spiral wrapped. They seem to be about as numerous as the 3 and 4 feathers.
