 That time of year again here in central Oregon, This will take place out by Alfalfa Oregon and it is always a good time. This is their flyer this year but surprisingly no map. If you need a map I can send you one from last year or go to their facebook site and get one. Hope to see any of you there, can't camp yet but plan on going and smelling powder burning, gonna try out my new knee. Hope this works:

CAMP RULES
This is private land.. Please take care of it as if it were your own. Practice no-trace camping and leave your campsite as you found it. Haul out your garbage. The road is good into the site. The site has a lot of trees, bring your own water, there is limited wood on site.
1. All vehicles are to be removed from the primitive area after unloading and parked in specified areas. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!
2. There will be separate areas for Modern and Primitive Camping Please respect each area.
3. Pets must be tied up or on a hand held leash at all times. This does not mean on a long rope that can reach your neighbor's camp or walkways.
4. Your children are YOUR responsibility.
5. No bicycles, motorcycles, scooters or 4-wheelers to be running through camp.
6. No modern firearms are to be displayed anywhere on site.
7. Please use generators between the hours of 6:00 am to 10:00am and 6:00pm to 9:00 pm. This means everyone with a generator...PLEASE respect these hours!!!
8. Remember, this is a Rendezvous....there is NO curfew. Know your neighbors. If you want to beat your Tom Tom or drum all night that is OK.. But it is not OK to run your generators all night long....
10. The property owner has ask us not to cut any live or dead trees standing or down, you can pick up any loose wood or limbs laying on the ground.
SHOOTERS RULES
1. Firearm safety will be practiced at all times.
2. NMLRA rules apply except when specified.
3. NO SMOKING OR ALCOHOL ON THE TRAILS!!!!
4. The Booshway can override any rule when necessary to insure the safety of all participants and management of scoring.
5. Shooters must be at the starting place at the designated time with all necessary equipment.
6. All weapons on the rifle and pistol trails must be single shot and per-1840. Patch and round ball only. NO REVOLVERS!
7. Pre 1840 sights. No modern sights! Period open iron or peep sights allowed.
8. Use of powder measure required. Black powder only... NO pyrodex.
9. Minimum 3 and maximum of 6 shooters in a group and 1 score keeper. 2 shooters may share a rifle.
10. 1 Point will be given for period dress, (3 pieces, No Levi's or hammer pockets) and 1 point each for the fire start and trap set at Registration. (Timed event.)
11. You can only shoot in one division, but you may shoot all trails once in that division.
12. BE SAFE AND HAVE FUN.

Definitely going to this one this year. New knee is back to about 90%, gonna camp, just found out about 250 already signed up. They added an extra day so everyone can get everything done. It's gonna be fun, hope to see some of ya there. flwa

Well like they say never put the wagon in front of the horse, never even got to go out for a day. Son and daughter showed up for the weekend, that was a good thing, everything and anything that could go wrong did, that was a bad thing. Like I keep saying" well maybe next year". :'(
