I've found, on the few Numrich barrels I've messed with, that the rifleing is rather shallow and really didn't need a lot of breaking in. In case you find either some rough spots or sharp edges I'd use fine valve grinding compound. Put it on a few patches and run the heck out of them and then lube a half dozen with the valve grinding compound next time you go to the range and shoot them. You'll be amazed at what it will do to a barrel as far as slicking it up.
