Well, I received my 16ga. Colerain Griffin smoothbore in Friday from Mr. Tip Curtis, Its real nice inside an out, and measures pretty darn close to .660 so I am very satisfied. Now to send it off to Matt Advance at TVM for them to put it in a Left-Hand Cherry Fowler stock, Queen Ann lock, sideplate # 22020, and Buttplate #19800 out of the Muzzleloaders Builders Supply catalog. The Queen Ann lock is a $50.00 upgrade, I don't know about the other parts, but will know Monday, They normally use a Serpent type sideplate, but don't know what kind of buttplate they normally use. If anybody is looking for a certain barrel for a project, I highly recommend Tip Curtis he has everything and his prices are better.

I will also be taking a first hand look at Pecatonica's English fowler Kit this Saturday, Muzzleloader Builder Supply uses Pecatonica's stock for their Fowler Kit also.  If you take a look at them they look different, Pecatonica's stock looks like it " Kicks up" at the wrist, while MBS stock looks more straight like the Jim Chambers Penn. fowler stock. We shall see. If the stock looks like Jim Chambers stock I might get Pecatonica's kit. if it don't I'll get TVM's English fowler kit with the changes I've mentioned. It will make it a more lighter an more P.C.-H.C. smoothbore than TVM's standard Kit. You can change things around on some Companies T.OT.W., Pecatonica's, MBS, etc.  gun kits you know. I've run into some folks online that didn't know this and were stuck with a sub-par rifle or smoothbore.

I'm still here, Just thought I get a little more input and questions about the barrel. I'll be sending my barrel off the first of the Month to Pecatonica to get my barrel inlet and the ramrod channel drilled.  Also I've been kinda out of sorts, see my post about my Grade 5 Stock in the Gun Building section its a sad thing.

Glad your still here !  Sorry about the build falling through but your new plans sound like it will be a pretty one!  can't wait to see pictures!  Did I mention we like pictures?

Well, my barrel is at Pecatonica River Longrifle waiting for my grade 4 Cherry Stock from Dunlop Woods to get there,(should be there on Monday). They usually take about 3 weeks to send it back to you, I'll see if they will send me some pictures of the stock before they turn it into my Fowler stock. Daniel at Dunlop woods says it a real nice piece.
