I was looking for something to occupy my time with while waiting on some new gun building supplies and tools so I figured it was time to attempt my first screw tip powder horn. The tip and base plug are maple. ...now I've got to admit I cheated a little on this one...I used a section of treaded lamp tubing for joining the tip to the horn body.  cuch

William

A fine job even if you cheated just a bit.  ;D

beowulf

Very nice Woody. I keep forgetting to send you some of this cherry, walnut and curly maple for turning. I"ll see what I can do about that.

Thanks everyone,  and especially Campbell Clan for supplying the horn.

olflint,
I know what you mean about forgetting, heck I actually forgot what I had gone to my shop for the day I started this horn! I was standing at my workbench asking myself, now what did I come out here for? That's when I noticed the horn on the bench and decided to start working on it.
I can attribute that to age in my case, but as for you I know your so busy that I even feel guilty calling once in awhile to talk.  rdfce

Woody,
I know that I forgot something recently but I can't remember what it is that I forgot. Around my house we call it "sometimers.
