what bout making dried or parched peas

Are dried and parched two different things?
The only time I dry peas is when saving for seed.

the answer is yes, and no....

Yes it is dried but it uses heat to dry... here is the definition from the Cambridge dictionary...

"adjective (VERY DRY)      /p??t?t/  US  /p??rt?t/

parched earth/fields/corn

With field peas I just let them dry in the husk on the vine. When they're done I run them through a sheller for my use. For the animals they stay in the husks.
