Could I ask a favor of some of our horners here on the board? I am attempting to build my first horn ever, which will be a Southern banded horn. I have already turned a nice beehive base plug using (would you believe it?) my drill press as a makeshift lathe. I was wondering if any of you might have some small scraps of horn left over from some of your projects that I could use to cut the bands for my horn from? I don't need many, maybe just three or four rings, anywhere from 1" to 2-1/2" or so in diameter? I would like to dye them dark brown and heat apply them to my horn. If any of you have any leftover pieces, I would gladly pay you for them. Thanks for any help fellas!  thmbsup

Sorry, I use all of mine, but you can buy a craft horn from john here: http://www.powderhornsandmore.com/ and have all the bands you need!
