Bowie and sheath

[Plainsman]

A guy I work with wanted me to make him a sheath, I agreed. Little did I know how huge the knife was! Not being one to turn down a challenge I gave it a go. It took forever, but I'm really happy with how it turned out.


The giant bowie, not sure of a maker.











And my helper for the evening, he sure kept a close eye on the rawhide!

we do like to have some fun so while I am typing this I have to sask - with a blade that big why didn't you just add a little more leather and attach a pouch for a fire kit or small survival kit to that monster....

If it had been for myself, I would have added a small patch knife to the front. But, it isn't mine.

Could easily still do so if he wants, but I doubt.

 I like the looks of the knife and the leather work is great.
The pic of you helper, he has the look that says. Well now that you have used all of MY raw hide just try and get this piece, I dare you to just try.

great job on the sheath, just excellent work. Knife is a bit big for me though.
