After two plus years of getting our stuff made , Shirley and I participated in our first living history event. It was a 4 day event at Kings Mountain National Military Park. Being the newbies in the group, we were just told to demonstrate some every day activities. We were assigned a small 12'x12' area. I set up a fly for some shade. Shirley was sewing and I made some mocs and demonstrated fire starting with flint and steel.
Thursday we had 556 school students and  over 2000 visitors. Friday there were 390 students and about 1800 visitors. Saturday we had almost 2800 visitors. Sunday was a slow day with only 300 or so visitors.
From 9am to 4pm, it was non stop. We nibbled on apples, bread and cheese. No time for a meal.
I finally snapped a few pics on Sunday morning about 7:30 am.

Thanks for looking,
Mike

Thanks everyone. We had  great time even though it was very tiring. The first few hours was kind of overwhelming. I put flint to steel more time in those 4 days than I have in my entire life totaled.

Hey Oldknfmkr, those are very nice photos, looks likeyou had fun. Just a point of interest. The Mustergrounds for The Battle of Kings Mountin for my area is about two or three blocks from my house aand they also had people there at the same time frame camping , with tours coming in,this year was possibly the biggest attendence that I have seen in many years. Great Job
