For obvious reasons, this is not a good idea. Plus the one you probably don't think about, which is how foolish you feel afterwards.

On the other hand (unintended pun) it opens the door to a whole new level of morbid humor and "here's your sign" responses to thoughtless questions.

Note to future surgery recipients: "So this is what lethal injection feels like" as you're slipping out of consciousness guarantees some wonderfully horrified and/or amused expressions to take with you into la-la land. I used the same line in similar circumstances (while being put under) when I had my wisdom teeth cut out, with similar amusing results. Hey, life is ugly -- you can laugh or whine. I prefer to laugh....

Hardest part about this is, only being able to steer my truck with one hand has made me cautious and a little touchy about tailgaters, especially at highway speeds. In addition to getting rattled when some buttwipe nearly slams into my bumper when I'm doing several miles in excess of the speed limit -- then blows past me, usually with a cell phone pressed to his/her ear -- I don't have a visible or functioning left middle finger and can't release the wheel to give the one-fingered salute with my right.

You will have to cut out a salute silhouette to be 'flipped" up when appropriate . Course you will have to attach it to your wrist but it could come in 'handy' several times a day.
