I got another window in today, not a whole lot of work, but a lot of detail in the work. We only worked until we had to clean up and go to town, but the heat was starting to mix with the humidity, so we did other things that don't require working outside. I am now working on totally restoring the old window,so I can't continue much more until it is done. Good thing about the heat, paint dries faster!
I hope this is interesting to some of you, I like to watch things come together. I thought it would be something some of you on this site would appreciate. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.

Love it - Being a farm worker in my youth - I think all old barns should be saved. A friend spent 2 years tearing a barn to the posts and beams and rebuilding to a beautiful home. I pass it daily, at admire it always. Keep the pictures and updates coming...

Your coming right along Rocky..Keep up the good work.Your breathing life back into it.Do you think you'll have it finished before the winter hits?

Hey Crazell, thanks for askin'. I hope to have the outside south wall finished in a few weeks or less. I got started on the little window at the peak today, it is going to take some TLC and time to get it back to a condition to make it last another 150 years. Paint, plastic wood, long screws, new window glaze, and some more paint will probably do the trick. Nice thing about the heat is that the paint will dry faster. I took some before pictures of the little window, hopefully the after pics will look a lot better. I can put the frame only back in, then I will be able to let the glaze dry on the window sashes before I paint it. Once the frame is in, I can continue on with the outside wall.
