Did anybody here ever heard of anyone using willow for a bow. When my brother and I were little we use to use willow and twine, and make our own arrow's. They worked pretty good. We would hunt rabbit and tree fox with them. Don't know if it's any good to make a primitive bow out of.

I don't know about making a bow but I do remember from my days working in a lumber yard, 1" thick boards fractured easily once they were kiln dried. We handled them carefully, no bouncing or slapping onto the bundles.

Yeah I remember now that it took them a while to dry but then they would end up breaking. Wonder if there is something to seal them with too keep it flexable?
