I made two pairs of wool moc liners today for practice and will sew my first mocs tomorrow. I have a 20 sq ft moose side from Two Bears Trading. Any particular direction to lay out the pattern?
Thanks,
Mike

If moose is similar to deer, you'll want to use the thickest part, usually near the hips, for the bottom of the mocs.  Cut your pattern out of heavy paper and mark it left/right, and have a wetstone handy for sharpening the point of your needle while sewing them together, it will get dull.

Thickest parts of the hide, as William said. Use the rumps and necks for mocs. Then post pictures as you go. thmbsup
You can use the moccasins in the tutorial at the top of this forum, easy to do, dont take no time at all.
