DEADDAWG

Looks like those of us in the Mid West are in for a real rough time today. Here, they're calling for severe thunderstorms with a possibility for tornados and winds to 60+ MPH out of the SSW. According to the radar map the biggest part of the storm is in WI and MN right now. Voy is probably catching the leading edge of it right now. Voy, I hope you're hunkered down and some place safe. Those of you who are going to get hit by this thing today, be careful and stay safe.

Just got back on line a few minutes ago. A transformer on the street behind us detonated, tree branch fell on it. Sounded like a full loaded six pounder going off right next to me, about 100 yds away. Didn't think I could still do a drop and cover like that anymore, instincts I guess. Took the top of the telephone pole off and broke all the windows in the front of my neighbors house behind us. Still running on the generator, but at least the cable and internet came back up. Is every one else doing OK?

Northeast Kansas is sunny with a gentle 20mph breeze with mild gust to about 30. Gonna change though I'd just bet. Hope your able to get out for more generator fuel.

Got plenty of fuel for now. Had a full tank when I started it at 1:00 and have 30 gal. in cans. Electric company is over there now changing out the pole. Personally, I think they're crazy, the wind is blowing at 40+. At least the rain is over for now.

I'm not in the midwest, but we've had some wierd weather here in VA the last few days.

Unseasonably warm, raining, thunderstorms, even a tornado watch last night.

I'm still waiting for a good frost to kill the wolvels in the squirrels... doesn't seem like a frost is coming anytime soon.

Had a few flakes, then turned to rain. Cooler than I would like with the high humidity, but it aint to bad.
