Lacking anything that ressembles computer skills and know-how I may be impressed  easier then a person who was raised with a pc. The fact that the Admin. can keep track of all the different forums staggers my imaginattion. I would have to agree with Bulldog Lady , It"s like picking out a book at the Library . The original posters suggestion of possibly consolidating some topics has merit .Its my opinion , that considering all thats happened in the recent past with the loss of Dennis and the ecconomic problems suffered by most folks , that things have been kept going quite well. This is not my prime site , but it certainly is a pleasent and informative one. I would also have to add , one of the more generous . Keep up the good work .

It will not fall as long as I have any input!

The trick is simple tolerance. There are things in the world I could do without seeing or hearing. However, I am well aware that much about me strikes other people the same way. Unless someone is under the delusion that he is, in fact, the center of the universe, the best practice is "live and let live" till given a proven reason for doing otherwise.

Incidentally, I am in fact the center of the universe, so all those believing themselves to be are hereby served notice. thmbsup

I am just a little left of center [hmm] or was it right, can't remember [hmm]

I've had people telling me I'm off for years. Back to subject. there are some topics I'm not interested so when I sign in, I press "show unread posts since last visit" and open only the subjects I'm interested in. Other people have other interests and they can check on what they like. I personally don't see a problem.

"show unread posts since last visit" is a good feature which I use as well...in fact my desktop shortcut goes directly there.
In fact I wouldn't be responding to this thread had I not just seen it in the 'unread posts' list.

But I understood (misunderstood?) that this thread was referring to so many categories as it relates to figuring out where best to post something 'new'...maybe not.
I don't think its a major issue, particularly if you live on here and really come to learn the layout...but maybe for the casual poster?
I know just yesterday, and again today, I started new threads on 4 other sites looking for information, but decided to pass on this site as I just didn't want to spend the time trying to figure where it should best be posted.
