Depends on what I am shooting 32, 36, 40, 45. I use 3f 50, 54, 58. 10 12 16 ga I use 2f  for the canon I use 1f

3f for any caliber and they are all percussion. No flint. I really prefer to bowhunt - But late in the season, out comes the smoke pole - I don't like being cold...

I use FFFG  because it is what I always have used and works with both my pistols and rifles..... I do have a can of 4f that I bought for priming until I figured out that 3f works as well if not better....

I use 3fffg in my .50 rifle and pistol. Both are percussion and they snap that ball right out with no hangfires...

3f in everything except the .54 with the Sharon barrel. I use 2f in it because I keep winning 2f and I don't use it in anything else.

I shoot .32, .40, .45, .50, .54 and .58. Yes, I use 3f in the .58, only the .54 gets 2f to use it up, and it shoots 3f just fine too. I shoot both flint and percussion.

My .50 prefers 3f while my .54 needs 2f.

Been using 2F in .50 gpr and 3F in pistols and 4F in priming pan. But today I will try 3F in .50 Pa rifle and also prime with same.  sure would be easy and cheap to carry only one powder. Pobably more PC  and I will reduce powder charge and that will give more shots per pound.  Even more PC.     Thanks to all here onTRADITIONAL MUZZLELOADER ON THE CHEAP.
