"GOD made man and Sam Colt made em equal"
Well, you gonna pull them pistols or whistle Dixie?

I wear perscription safety glasses just to be able to see but I put saftey glasses over them so the flint shards and powder blast don't damage them. SOMETIMES i WEAR HEARING PROTECTION, SOMETIMES i DON'T. hUH WHATS THAT YOU SAY?? &)

Watauga

I do But I am looking to get some PC Glasses so they dont have very big lenses.
(Probably not as safe as Safety Glasses but better than nothing)
The little sponge ear plugs is what I use.

Hammerhead

never have used any eye or ear protection might be stupid of me but probably never will either

Blackfeet

Every single time, ears and eyes (perscription) smartened up when I had my last hearing test 17 years ago. That and having a non bp contraption of the black variety have a hiccup in my face, larned me up real good (susp)

I wear ear plugs, what hearing I have left I'd like to keep. Gonna start wearing eye glasses, you never know when something is gonna happen and I hate the "I SHOULD HAVE'S".  thmbsup I'm not so consumed with the shoot that my life might end if I don't hear the gong, I go just for the fun. Protect your hearing, once it's gone it's gone. thmbsup

ALWAYS! where Eye and Ear protection; After 38+ years in the steel mills and related industry - I too would like to keep what I have left. The BOSS keeps harping on me about hearing aids, But as I believe Jim Croce once said "If I ever loose my ears, I won't have to listen anymore"...Might be a blessing at times...Hope She doesn't see this post or  slap

I think you are loosely quoting Cat Stevens...
As for eyes & ears, always. No exceptions.

captkody

Rev: You are indeed correct! It was Cat Stevens,(MOONSHADOW) But the words I changed to ears instead of eyes, - Makes the wife MAD! Since She feels my hearing is going south - I like to think of it as SELECTIVE HEARING!!! At times I just DON'T want to Listen or Hear. And at times it makes Perfect Sense - at least to me... Usually when I am headed out the door to go - Shooting, Fishing, Shroom Hunting, Golfing.... I'm sure you get the Picture. :mini-devil-28492:

Red Badger

I wear shooting glasses of some kind all the time, when in character I have a set of safety glass in reasonably pc frames, but as for the hearing thing... I got new hearing aids from the VA last January and turn them off when shooting bp - now I do wear earmuffs when mowing and other loud noise activities (like modern firearms).

I had a nipple blow out once and I would not have a right eye if I was not wearing shooting glasses! The left eye may or may not have survived the blowout. My hearing is bad from the machinery I operate to make a living and I want to protect what is left.
I WEAR SHOOTING GLASSES AND HEARING PROTECTION AND I DON'T CARE IF IT IS PERIOD CORRECT OR NOT.

Wear safety glasses and earplugs and/or ear muffs when doing anything loud.
