Rev has been busy putting this together for me, and doing a great job IMHO. It's still a work in progress but I'm very happy with the results of his hard work. http://mikelange.homestead.com/index.html

Well, payment for a gun that I'm presently building will be a small duplicator that I'm told will take the wrist and butt area of a stock down to within 1/16" of finished dimensions in 10-15 minutes -- that will be a huge step toward more of a factory-style operation. What I foresee is before too much longer having to figure out where to find the time and money to put up a purpose-built shop. I just moved out of an 8x12 shed, into my 12x21 garage, and can see the day coming that that won't be room enough.

I guess in a way, as long as I don't get stupid with the money I bring in, the need for a larger shop will be a self-solving problem -- I'll need more room because I'm selling and building more guns, which will mean more money coming in to take care of little details like where exactly the building gets done.

Life is good when this sort of thing is one of the biggest concerns I have. Anyone thinking I'm not thankful on a several-times-daily basis obviously doesn't know me too well.... thmbsup

Rev added me something new to the site -- a link to a Word document that I can change on an as-needed basis, in which are listed any guns I have for sale and also descriptions and photos of projects in various stages of construction, that will be for sale this June at Friendship. Of course the point to listing and showing these projects is that, if anyone comes across something that's just what they're looking for (even if they didn't know it was what they were looking for, till they saw it), they can "bespeak" the gun-in-progress, pay the appropriate deposit, and it will be finished for that person instead of the sales rack.

Very nice,  especialy for those who cant make it to Friendship.

I'm having issues with the file-sharing site. At this point it appears impossible to modify the files I upload, and if I delete the old version of a file and upload a new one the link provided on my website no longer works.

I've contacted the service and asked how to resolve this problem. Till such resolution the link on my site will take you to a message saying the requested file has been deleted.

Of course I paid for an ad-free download so my customers and friends wouldn't have to be bombarded with solicitations to buy this or try that, so it's not quite as easy as simply cancelling the service and finding a new one -- and looking over its features before committing to it, though in fairness to myself I would assume, in the absence of being specifically told otherwise, that I would be able to modify my own files when and how I pleased. That fact I had to contact them and ask if I can even do this indicates I wouldn't have learned anything more up-front than I have after the fact.

We will have this straightened out in no time, probably before you read this. Just a little confusion in terminology...

It's done and things are working again. Many thanks to Rev for his patience in hacking away at the mental block I have about all things computer-ish.
