Always check the shipping and handlings fees, happy hunting!

I have used them once and had no problem. I was bidding on an 1830's bible, but lost it this morning. Just wondering what happened? Give us all a heads up.

It appears that Goodwill online auctions are overcharging for shipping, or at least a few of their locations appear to be doing so.  I recently sent an item back at their expense because they not only changed my address from what I had given them, but took nearly 2 weeks to send the package, charging me for priority mail shipping (2-3 days) but sending it parcel post (cheaper, 5-8 day delivery time).  In my notification to the Goodwill location that auctioned the item in the first place I pointed these two issues out and they responded that that a return had not been authorized and it would not be accepted, as well as that the difference in shipping charges would be credited to my account.  So far that hasn't happened, and I gave them until 5pm today to refund the full amount or I will pursue this matter as fraud with my bank and paypal.

May I ask what location, so I can avoid it. I agree to that the price for shipping is to high, but sometimes the deals are good enough to warrant paying it.

This was at the South Carolina store, don't have anything more specific than that.  If you do get the highest bid be sure to not exactly what method of shipping you are charged for and compare it to the package you receive.  Hope it doesn't turn into a scandal as big as another charitable organization a few years back; The United Way.

Its probably the same for Goodwill, but I haven't heard anything about it yet, but I will never give any money to United Way, they donate money to anti gun groups.

Me neither, especially after they refused to give money to the Boyscouts of America, citing their policy barring homosexuals from serving as Scout Leaders as being discriminatory.  The S.Court declared that their policy was perfectly legal as they were primarily a religious organization, but the United Way stopped funding anyway.  So I now donate directly to the Scouts.  Several years ago when I worked for the State of Arizona everyone in the office was expected to donate to the UW via automatic paycheck deductions, which I refused, citing the 1992 financial scandal.  I was leaned on heavily to comply with unofficial policy but I still refused and my boss and Deputy Director of the AZ DOC made me prove that I did indeed donate to other charitable organizations of my own choosing.  Maybe it was a good thing that I blew out my back on the job (again) and left AZ two years later.

Glad to see someone else who researched where their money is going before signing on the dotted line.  dntn
