My gunflints are rough, tough, sparky and a good value.  Period.  I make no claims about being "better" than any others.  Some folks prefer them to others regardless of price, but the price is the deal-maker here.  That and my guarantee, that I let you inspect them and dry fire one before you pay.  I send your order with an invoice and you get them, try one, and decide to send a check or money order or send them back.  But no, you don't get to wait till you go to the range to try them out.  I can't wait for Momma to give you a pass or for rainy weather to clear up. ROFL

Standard sizes are 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8", 1", and 1 and 1/8" wide.  The flints will be 1/8" longer than wide.  Small ones (1/2" or 5/8") are $10 per dozen.  Medium (3/4" or 7/8" wide) are $12 per dozen.  Large (1" or 1 and 1/8" wide) are $15 per dozen.  Shipping runs $1.50 or $1.75 for one dozen (the big ones weigh more, don'tcha know, lol).  If you order more than 1 dozen, generally shipping will total $1 per dozen.

I ask that you not order more than 3 dozen of any one size.  You may order up to 6 dozen total. (For example, 3 dozen 5/8", plus 1 dozen 3/4", plus 1 dozen 7/8", plus 1 dozen 1").   But let's face it, if you order more than 3 dozen of a size you're either hoarding for the apocalypse or selling them for profit.  Either of these will prevent other guys from getting theirs on time at my prices.

I will accept personal messages but prefer email.  rpierce@dom.wustl.edu  I need:
your name and address
exactly how any of what sizes you need.

Generally I can supply within a week but this is not a hard and fast rule.  I have to go collect raw rocks, bust them up, then knap the shards into gunflints.  if the creeks are all flooded, I can't collect rock.  If my job is working me to death, no time to knap.  When you order I'll let you know expected delivery time and you can bug me after a week.

I started making flints because I am a frugal type myself.  Now I enjoy making and selling a good product at a good price.

Just got in a shipment of these, and they spark well.  Don't let the first appearance set you off.  My frizzen did not care what color they are, it just threw off sparks!
Thanks, Rich

These are real good rocks. Ole Tom has used them for some time. I gave one to a fellow on the rifle range. He later showed me the Rich Rock. He had fired over 100 Rds on it. By doggies it was still shoot'in.  And besides that Rich is a fine fellow to deal with.

Rick, Shoot him another e-mail. He may not have received the first one for one reason or another. I've never known anyone having problems getting flints from Rich.

Dead Dawg Re-Emailed em and heard back, he's been swamped with orders and is going to send them out, I doubled my order to make it more worth his while, If he's swamped that means business is good, and like Martha Stewart would say "It's a good thing"

dntn Got my order today and I a believer!!! excellent flints, best I've found, bought a couple dozen of different sizes for pistol and rifle and several shards for fire kit, until I can find and knap my own he has my buisiness, even sent a short essay on Missouri flints and how he collects em, interesting, good value, I recommend them wholeheartedly  thmbsup

Just got my dozen flints from Rich , I thought it would be another couple of weeks at least . He had ordes for 20 doz. ahead of me . I had used one of the white Mo. flints awhile back and didn't think it would ever die ? Didn't count the shots , [hmm] but must have been at least 80 to 100 and it was still sparking good , but was getting too small to hold in the jaws !  thmbsup I've got two different make locks that I use them in , and both locks work fine with them ! ;D I have been using the black English flints and they also work well . but I believe the Mo. white flints perform some better , and as was said , Rich is a class act to deal with .
